Do you miss your games console when going on holiday?

Posted on June 28, 2022 at 4:23 pm

Many people that enjoy gaming do miss their consoles when they are away and although it is good to have down time and time away from the screen, it may be that you want to have the opportunity to do some gaming. Depending on what console you have, you may be able to buy a handheld device that you can link up to your machine at home. The PS Vita for example will connect to your console remotely and allow you to play many of your games. It may be that not all of your games will be compatible with this device or that you find them hard to play on such a small screen.

Many resorts in this country and abroad have gaming rooms where you can use their consoles. You probably won’t be able to access your own games unless you are able to sign into your account, but it still will allow you to have some time to get your gaming fill.

If you are going to take a gaming handheld console abroad with you then make sure that you have valid insurance in place to cover you, should anything go wrong and you need to make a claim.

Posted on December 28, 2017 at 7:01 pm

Prey is for the most part an update of the 2006 game, which was developed by Human Head Studios. Prey 2 had been planned, but this never happened and instead, we now have a re-imagined version of the original instead. It is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows, and it was developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda softworks. It uses none of the material that would have been used in Prey 2, instead focusing on the original plot.

The main character is called Morgan Yu, who is the character the player will become. The aim of the game is to escape from a space station, Talos I, by fighting off the Typhon aliens that emerge from everyone and try to kill Morgan Yu. There is a variety of weapons that can be used, and the reward is an open world setting which the player will be free to explore once the aliens have been defeated.

Hellblade – Action, Mythology and Masterful Development

Posted on August 10, 2017 at 3:44 pm

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is an action-based video game for PC and PlayStation 4. It explores Celtic and Norse mythology, as well as the little used theme of mental illness. The game tracks Senua’s descent into psychosis, as she experiences hallucinations and is plunged into a dark place.

Voices add a lot to the game and the audio element of it is very important. It helps to make the game highly atmospheric and build up the world in which it is set, an important aspect of buying into the story. Auditory hallucinations feature regularly for main character Senua and they help the player to really be inside her head. They can get in the way, making it a more realistic gaming experience – it affects the game just as psychosis might affect someone’s mindset.

The game has been described by some critics as frustrating but overall, it is a captivating experience that has been very well executed by developers.

Natsume and Rising Star Games will be releasing a new Harvest Moon game, entitled Harvest Moon: Light of Hope. It will be available to play on PC, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 consoles. It is worth noting that this is the first time the series has been available for the PC.

The game is designed to go back to its early roots, playing on the style of the original Super Nintendo games. Reviewers are saying that the game has not ventured all that far from its earlier days and it still has much the same feel about it. There is no longer a full-3D perspective and characters are viewed from the top down.

The player is cast as a shipwrecked sailor who enters a town and must help to rebuild it following a devastating storm. The characters and storyline are described as having more depth than those in previous game.
