Best game of 2018 for PS4

Posted on December 23, 2018 at 7:30 pm

With 2018 coming to a close many people are arguing about which PlayStation 4 game has been top of the player’s favourites this year. There has been a wealth of games realised for the PlayStation 4 along with many on the virtual reality headsets that offer a whole new gaming experience.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has proven to be very popular in the second half of the year. Made by the same people that bought us Grand Theft Auto, you can expect a lot of game playing hours and many mini challenges along with the main missions on the game.

The game first retailed at about £50 but can be picked up in many stores for between thirty to thirty five pounds. This is not a game for younger players as it does contain some swearing and violence, so has been rated an 18.

If you are looking for a game for all the family to play this Christmas then PlayLink on PS4 offers games that can be played on smart devices, taking away the need for additional controllers. Game such as Uno and Knowledge is Power may start to be favoured over board games such as Monopoly.

PlayStation Link games

Posted on August 30, 2018 at 9:44 am

If you have a PlayStation then you may have heard of PlayStation Link games. These games can be downloaded on to the PlayStation and then the players use their phones or tablets to play a multiplayer game.

There are only a hand full of PlayStation link games at present but more and more are being released over the next few months. One game, Knowledge is Power, is perfect for parties or times when you have family and friends over. The questions are mixed over a range of categories so there is something for everyone. There is quite a bit of humour in the games too and the whole quiz is very light hearted. Another game that has been released by the same people is called Frantics. This is a game that has lots of mini games where you compete against each other. Again these games are quite silly at times and often there is not a huge amount of skill involved just lots of fun.

The games range from around £15 but there really is hours of fun to be had and each time you play it it is completely different.

These types of games are a great alternative to the usual board games that come out around Christmas time.

Project CARS – Start your journey

Posted on August 28, 2014 at 7:24 pm

Some people will be saying “no, not another driving game” but don’t worry there’s certainly room for one more and it has to be Project CARS. This game is set for released in November but it’s already grabbing a lot of attention. The graphics look simply superb and if the sound and gameplay can be of a similar level then it’s surely going to be a success.

In this game you progress from a karting driver to a professional rally, touring, open-wheel, GT or Le Mans driver among others. You get to carve your own career, and the many different types of races make this game one of the most diverse in terms of racing.

The game is published by Slightly Mad, but the only thing that’s mad about this game is the sheer selection of motors. The gameplay mode should be exciting, yet the cars you’re able to drive make this game one of the best, and there is the opportunity to personalise your vehicle, so it really does seem to have everything included to make it one of the best, but only time will tell.
