Though the approaching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was heavily promoted at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, there are actually no less than two different Ninja Turtles games popping out this year.
Activision during Comic-Con announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a arcade-style beat ‘em up side-scroller this is according to the hot Nickelodeon TMNT series, including the cartoony art style. Feaaturing four-player local co-op and “multiple gameplay modes,” the title is geared toward new fans of the Ninja Turtles. The sport can be released for Xbox 360, Wii, and 3DS on October 22 (the 23rd in Australia and the 25th in Europe).
This newly announced Turtles game is one in every of three games according to the Nickelodeon TMNT series that publisher Activision announced back in February. A separate Ninja Turtles online game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, is a downloadable “third-person brawler” that’s scheduled to release on August 28 as portion of Microsoft’s Xbox Live Summer of Arcade promotion.
Out of the Shadows seems to be a rather more mature tackle the hot Ninja Turtles series, because it carries the ESRB’s “Teen” rating rather than the newly announced game, which carries the “Everyone 10+” rating.
