Call of Duty: Ghosts Tournament Joining Major League Gaming Championship

The first Call of Duty: Ghosts tournament would be going down only a 17 days after the sport launches on current generation consoles and PC. 108 teams may be competing for $50,000 when the key League Championships land in Columbus, Ohio.

The MLG Championships can be held from November 22 through 24. Of the 108 competing teams, 96 of them might be participating within the open field, with 12 within the championship bracket. The latter shall be made of the tip eight ranked teams from the North American Xbox 360 Black Ops II field and 4 additional top teams from the open bracket. The competitions would be played on Xbox 360.

Team passes are available in starting at 5 PM Eastern on Monday, September 30, within the MLG store. The registration fee is currently $280, but that may increase through the years as follows:

  • 9/30/13 to ten/21/13: $280.00 – 30% off the door price
  • 10/22/13 to 11/4/13: $320.00 – 20% off the door price
  • 11/5/13 to 11/20/13: $360.00 – 10% off the door price
  • 11/22/13 (Door): $400.00

VIP and general admission spectator passes also are available. VIP passes cost $250 and offer right here benefits:

  • Reserved seating within the first few rows of the game’s main stage area
  • Early admission to the show – Friday, November 22 at 12:30pm

General admission costs $35 through November 21. After that, the pricetag goes as much as $50 online and on the door. The decision of Duty: Ghosts championships may be running alongside the Dota 2 competition we’ve previously covered.

Our Take
It’s going to be exciting to observe Call of Duty: Ghosts played professionally so soon after its release. Watching the highest Black Ops II teams adapt to the changes from one title to the following should make for some unpredictable play.
