NBA 2k14 was released just in time for the beginning of the beginning of the NBA season. The newest version of the well-liked series hit stores today with eager fans able to purchase.

At the instant, 2k14 is barely available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 gaming consoles. The Xbox One and PS4 are set to release this November and both systems will carry a compatible version of the sport.

So far the reviews has been very positive for the sport. Many critics are giving high reviews equal to that of the former version.

One item of the sport this is certain to cause heated debate amongst game fans, is the player’s overall rating. The game’s developers invented a scoring system of 0-100 to rate the players on-court abilities. Jason Collins ranks because the game’s worst player (hmm, no surprise there) with a 50 point rating while the super human (and arguably the most effective real life player within the NBA) Lebron James is a near-perfect, 99.

The most heated arguments is often over the ratings given to the mid tier players. As an example Marc Gasol gets an 82 rating behind higher ranked Andrew Bynum and Al Jefferson during this online game reality, but is that truly accurate? While player skill level is somewhat subjective, the developers did an outstanding job of re-creating the fashion through which the genuine-life players actual play (funny how they do this).

Game fans can also be more than happy with the extent of realism in other aspects of the sport including; graphics, gameplay, star power or even the announcers feel super real. During gameplay, the timing and movement of the characters are noticeably more precise too. One drawback is that you’ll have to re-the right way to use the controls. You won’t be capable of use your finely-honed skills of yesteryear, and the hot control functions are a section tricky to get used to.

NBA 2K14 does, however, feature the brand new Route to Greatness. This mode permits you to create your individual narrative using the game’s star player, Lebron James. During this mode, Lebron starts out as a rookie and works his way up through a league the is created by you, the player.

Overall this game doesn’t disappoint. Genuinely, EA Sports improved upon the high standards of the game’s previous iterations by making it realer or even more fun to play.
