The Long Dark Could be the Post-Apocalyptic Survival Game You’ve Been Looking forward to

The post-apocalyptic setting is so passé at the present time. Evidently everybody and their dog desires to get in at the action with only a few games (i.e. The Last Folks, Fallout: New Vegas) actually getting it right. Now a team of established industry veterans desires to take a stab on the genre, and that they need your help to do it.
Hinterland, a development team made of former BioWare, Ubisoft Montreal, Volition and Riot Games developers, revealed The Long Dark earlier this month. The sport is billed as a post-apocalyptic survival game set inside the Northern wilderness. The focal point is exactly on survival as players must navigate a frigid wasteland searching out supplies and heat to stick alive.
The Long Dark isn’t essentially survival though. The sport will ask players to make tough moral choices within the name of survival. It could also task players to determine the cause behind the worldwide disaster.
The developers are promising so much, but it’s always a bit of dubious to back something when there’s no gameplay to point out for it. It sort of feels the parents at Hinterland understand this, and feature provided almost five minutes of prototype gameplay footage to turn what they’re looking to achieve with The Long Dark.
If the above video has you interested, possible back The Long Dark on Kickstarter today. There’s eight days left with the team having raised $118,000 of the $200,000 they’re inquiring for.
