How Games Might actually help Care for The terror Of Death

The Shin Megami Tensei series, especially the Persona titles were very enlightening to me in showing how the mythology behind all major religions have similar elements. Regardless of the name of the deity, god, demon, devil, angel, etc, there appears to be like a cultural counterpart for them in another religion.

And then there’s the thoughts concerning the afterlife. Again, every culture has its own tackle it, but nobody can also be sure. But i locate some comfort within the thought that there’s something. Maybe it is the Christian concept of a reward, maybe it is the Buddhist/Hindu concept of coming back and cumulatively working one’s way towards a better understanding of life itself.

Or, i’ll be completely wrong. The key is to maintain an open mind and hear other ideas. If those ideas are suggested by a well written game, so be it. Though i suspect we will all rule out the postulate of green mushrooms with the ability to resuscitate you from death.

That or we just haven’t found the best green mushroom yet.
