The Wii U’s first year available to buy has not been the most effective. Nintendo’s own efforts to provide software for the console was impeded by delays, and third parties has been dropping support for the console within its first year. Things are finally looking up, however, as Nintendo has a string of huge releases inside the end of the year, and it even has a brand new bundle for the vacations.
Nintendo of America revealed today that it’ll be launching a brand new Wii U deluxe set that ditches Nintendo Land in favor of latest Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U. Both games can be on one disc, and represent the superior games the Wii U has to supply.
“Mario and Luigi are two of the most important heroes in games,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice chairman of Sales & Marketing. “This new Wii U configuration gives people instant access not to one, but two of the foremost well-received Wii U games. It’s another example of the tremendous value and diversity that Nintendo is offering consumers this holiday season.”
The new Wii U bundle will go on sale starting November 1 for $300. Should you still want Nintendo Land, Nintendo is dropping the cost of the standalone game to $30. It still remains top-of-the-line examples of what the Wii U is able to.
Oh, and do not forget that Wii U bundle that came with The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and a digital copy of Hyrule Historia? Nintendo says it’s still available while supplies last. It’s hard to assert if meaning Nintendo will phase it out once the brand new Super Mario Bros. U bundle launches, but those in search of the Wind Waker Wii U bundle will need to act now.
