QuakeCon Exhibitors, Tournaments, And John Carmack Presentations Announced

If you’re tough enough to battle the sweltering August heat in Dallas, Texas, QuakeCon awaits you. This year’s event could be held from August 1 through 4 on the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
In addition to his annual keynote (August 1, 4:30 pm Central), id Software co-founder and technical director John Carmack would be delivering a presentation titled “The Physics of sunshine and Rendering.” This talk, that can be very heavy at the science, is scheduled for August 2 at 5 pm Central.
Quake Live tournaments might be happening in both head-to-head and 3-person team varieties. Free-for-all Doom II matches can also be happening. The Quake Live Duel Invitational is meant for pro gamers and people with an intensive history with the title. To register for the Quake Live Duel Invitational, click here.
Finally, the total list of exhibitors for the development was announced. Plastic Piranha’s Rekoil might be accessible (505 Games) and Interceptor’s Rise of the Triad could be celebrating its release. Our previous coverage shares additional info on other titles to be featured.

Our Take
My friends that enjoy gaming on PC tell me that there’s no LAN party like a QuakeCon LAN party. Besides the fact that you are like me and follow consoles, there are various of reasons to visit QuakeCon. Wolfenstein: The recent Order, The Evil Within, and The Elder Scrolls Online are going to be appearing on PC and next generation consoles.
