MOGA Ace Power Will Give Your iOS Games The Gamepad They Deserve

Posted on June 10, 2014 at 1:57 pm

Some of the most important hits in mobile gaming could be simply controlled via a couple of simple touch gestures. Other games require somewhat more finesse, however, and touch controls can never truly replicate the precision of a physical controller. That’s where MOGA is available in.

MOGA, an organization that makes mobile controllers for Android devices, would be the first out of a gate with an Apple certified controller for iOS devices after Apple introduced controller support in iOS 7. Its controller – the MOGA Ace Power – gives your iPhone 5, 5S or 5C an Xbox 360-like controller interface complete with two analog nubs, hasta hoy-pad, four face buttons and shoulder pads.

So, what games does the MOGA Ace Power support? There’s no definitive list just yet, however it should support almost every game that decides to take advantage of Apple’s new controller API in iOS 7. In brief, every iOS game could potentially support controllers sooner or later.

If offering iOS gamers a much better control option wasn’t enough, the MOGA Ace Power also acts as an external power supply to your iOS device. When connected to the controller, your iOS device can draw power from it to recharge itself. That feature alone may well be what sells the controller to consumers searching for how you can extend their iOS device’s battery life on long trips.

While there’s no release date set for the device, it is possible for you to to pre-order it soon from either MOGA’s own Website or the Apple store for $100.

‘Dead Rising 3′ Launch Trailer Released

Posted on June 9, 2014 at 5:23 am

While PlayStation 4 owners are already streaming gameplay of games along with Knack and Killzone: Shadow Fall, gamers still have several days to move before the Xbox One and its next-gen exclusives are released.

One of the main anticipated Xbox One launch titles is Dead Rising 3. The sport has already gotten moderately good reviews and Capcom is asking to capitalize on Microsoft’s console launch with its zombie franchise.

Last week the publisher released a narrative trailer for Dead Rising 3 that showed off a reasonably standard zombie apocalypse story about people being bitten and the race in finding a cure while those still alive start to switch on one another. Today Capcom has released the official launch trailer for the sport.

The new trailer doesn’t choose to show any actual gameplay footage. Instead, the video showcases the extreme, bloody situations that were also the focal point of the primary look players got of the sport at E3. Much of the silliness that characterizes the Dead Rising series and sets it aside from other zombie games is usually, unfortunately, missing.

Microsoft today released the launch trailer for Ryse, firmly establishing it because the first-party launch title for gamers who desire a little bit of ultra-violence.

Also there are many brutal, bloody slow-motion executions – a feature Crytek was heavily touting for the sport.

Sony Sold Over A million PlayStation 4s On Friday

Posted on June 4, 2014 at 6:45 am

For months now gamers was anticipating the launch of the PlayStation 4 and on Friday those self same fans were finally ready to get their hands on Sony’s new console. Sony’s confident marketing and absence of PlayStation-related scandals managed to make the PS4 highly desired among gamers, and the corporate this week has revealed just how that good will has translated into sales.

Sony has announced that it sold over a million PlayStation 4 consoles to customers on its launch day. Though this figure represents PS4 consoles sold just in North America, it represents the most important console launch day within the history of the industry. The PS4 would be launching in dozens of alternative countries inside the coming weeks, putting it on-track for the most important console launch month ever.

“PS4 was designed with an unwavering commitment to gamers, and we’re thrilled that consumer reaction have been so phenomenal,” said Andrew House, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment. “Sales remain very strong in North America, and we think continued enthusiasm as we launch the PlayStation 4 in Europe and Latin America on November 29. We’re extremely grateful for the eagerness of PlayStation fans and thank them for his or her continued support.”

Microsoft will now get its chance to compare Sony’s feat with its launch of the Xbox One console this Friday. Unlike Sony, Microsoft’s marketing of the Xbox One this year was plagued with bad press due to company’s original plan to implement hardware-level DRM at the console, its targeting of a much wider TV-friendly audience, and lower hardware specs coupled with a far better price when put next to the PS4. Though consumer backlash caused Microsoft to ditch its DRM plans, it is still seen whether these other factors will negatively affect the Xbox One at launch.

Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD Delayed to March

Posted on June 3, 2014 at 1:30 pm

Over 1000000 gamers are actually enjoying next-gen games on their PlayStation 4. However, gaming experiences from past generations are still relevant, and Square Enix aims to prove it.

In addition to releasing the primary five Final Fantasy games for mobile platforms, Square Enix earlier this year announced that it was near releasing HD revamps of ultimate Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 for a re-release on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. The titles were originally scheduled to be released sometime this winter. Today, Square announced that that the discharge of the HD remasters of those titles for PS3 were pushed back until March 18. The publisher has provided no word at the Vita release of the games.

March 18 is only days before the discharge of the PlayStation 4 title Infamous: Second Son. March can also be the launch month for other highly-anticipated games corresponding to South Park: The Stick of Truth, Dark Souls II, and Titanfall.

Final Fantasy X HD Remaster includes all the content from the unique game updated with improved visuals. The game’s music has also gotten an upgrade, as have the game’s menus and battle interface.

Along with the discharge date announcement, Square Enix also released another trailer for the updated games. Where previous trailers have taken with the upgrades applied to the games, this one is pure nostalgia and specializes in the connection between Tidus and Yuna inside the two games:

‘Dying Light’ Visuals Teased in New Tech Demo

Posted on June 2, 2014 at 5:14 am

Capcom has capitalized at the next-generation console launch with Dead Rising 3, a launch title for the Xbox One. On Friday gamers who buy an Xbox One would be ready to get their zombie fix on day one.

Reviews for Dead Rising 3, however, haven’t been perfect. It’s evidently clear that the sport was originally being developed for current-gen consoles. For a very next-gen zombie apocalypse experience, gamers may need to attend until developer Techland releases Dying Light next year. Techland is the developer behind the Dead Island series of zombie games.

Dying Light combines traditional zombie mayhem with the primary-person free running of Mirror’s edge. Earlier previews of the sport show that players are expected to mostly run from, instead of fight, the zombie horde.

Another big mechanic in Dying Light is that the game’s zombie transform at night, becoming much more powerful and perilous creatures. Stealth and quickness will tackle a bigger role in the course of the game’s night cycle.

With day and night being such a crucial a part of the sport, getting the lighting right would be probably the most important aspects when developing the sport. Luckily for the developers, next-gen consoles have a lot better hardware with which to render impressive lighting. Today Techland released a quick teaser video showing off the lighting in Dying Light. Judging by the video, it seems that Techland has to this point fascinated by optimizing lighting over textures:
