BioShock 2 On Steam Free For People with Original Release, Discounted For Others

When 2K Games released BioShock 2 on PC, it carried with it the despised (and now deceased) Games for Windows Live. Now that Games for Windows Live is not any more, those who owned a Games for Windows Live version can redeem their codes on Steam without cost with an added bonus.

Existing owners get the Minerva’s Den DLC free when moving over to Steam a good way to smooth the transition as a result of the sunset of Games for Windows Live. The Steam version also comes with controller and achievement support, in conjunction with Big Picture mode.

For those who haven’t yet played BioShock 2, it is just $9.99 through October 7. Additionally it is available in a bundle with the unique BioShock for a complete of $19.99. The Minerva’s Den DLC is on the market for purchase at a reduced rate of $4.99.

If you’ve not played the unique BioShock titles, now’s a good time to feature them for your collection.

Our Take
Playing through BioShock Infinite’s Burial at Sea DLC makes me nostalgic for the unique adventures in Rapture. If you have not played these at the PC, picking up both for $19.99 is tough to show down.
