We’re nearing the vacation season and publishers are starting to wring the previous couple of sales out of new big game releases. Already The Elder Scrolls Anthology and Dishonored: Game of the Year Edition are tempting collectors and gamers shrewd enough to attend a year to purchase games and their add-on content at a lower cost.

Now 2K Games and Gearbox have done an identical with Borderlands 2. The Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition was released this week enticing gamers with more loot than ever.

Sure, declaring a title “Game of the Year” in October is pretentious, but Gearbox has done an admirable job of supporting the sport for over 365 days now. The brand new collection includes a magnificent amount of content that was released post-launch, including all four DLC campaigns, both added character classes, and a complete host of skins, upgrades, and add-ons, including a “Golden Key.”

The new “Celebration” video for the self-declaration does an outstanding job of highlighting all of the best parts of Borderlands 2 and its DLC, while providing a piece more Claptrap Schadenfreude:
