Whatever your position on mobile device/touchscreen “serious” gaming, the type that goes beyond the arcade-like Angry Birds/Candy Crush Sagas of the sector, there isn’t any denying these devices are becoming a viable destination for games with a more serious tone and more complicated control schemes. With that during mind, the moderate level of interest surrounding Square Enix’s Deus Ex: The autumn, a Triple A title that’s normally found at the PS3/Xbox 360/PC Game environment, is warranted.

Deus Ex: The autumn is an ambitious title, as a minimum regarding mobile gaming, offering a degree of depth not normally present in less-serious mobile gaming environment. Because, however, there’s a tendency inside the online game publishing community to regard everything involving jailbreaking devices with piracy, and so, when the sport was first released, iPhone owners who purchased the sport and tried to play it on a jailbroken iPhone-a totally legal activity-they were greeted with the next screen:

“We feel it’s the appropriate thing to do on this situation and apologise for any inconvenience this will have caused. No customer ought to be out of pocket after we weren’t clear from the beginning, so we’ll get the sport updated once possible in order that everyone who desires to play Deus Ex: The autumn can do whether their device is jailbroken or not. Once this update is live we can communicate this via the Eidos Montreal Community channels.”

To their credit, Square Enix was true to their word and quickly issued an update, that’s available for download. The update notes include the next:
