Miyamoto Cites Difficult Controls Because the Reason behind Pikmin’s Absence On 3DS

Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto experimented with Pikmin at the 3DS, but difficulty in controlling the sport is reasons why Nintendo decided to not move forward with development.

In an interview with the Japanese gaming site 4Gamer, and translated by CVG, Miyamoto noted the difficulties in a handheld version of the game. Miyamoto said, “In point of fact we were doing prototype tests of Pikmin for the DS and 3DS nevertheless it become unit management with only the touch pen and it doesn’t matter what it just didn’t appear to be Pikmin.”

Miyamoto cites among the highlights and most crucial aspects of Pikmin is ease of control, and moving the sport to the hand held simply eliminated that crucial section of the sport.

Our Take
Managing Pikmin on a DS or 3DS certainly could be another gameplay experience, but i’m surprised to be informed that Miyamoto thinks it might be in conflict with Pikimin’s core tenets. As one of the crucial influential and critical people on earth of games, though, I trust his judgement.
