It seemed that former NSA contractor Edward Snowden had reached the final word level of notoriety when a number of Hong Kong filmmakers made a brief film about his time within the city. It’s easy to forget, however, that you’re not truly infamous until somebody makes a quickly thrown together game about you.

Last week, Michele Smeets released Snowden Run 3D on Android and the internet last week. Because the name implies, it’s an unlimited runner (a la Temple Run) and it features Snowden at the run from a central authority agent. Along the way in which, Snowden collects USB sticks and laptops containing government secrets. The sport also includes a humorous power-up called the “USSR Hydrogen Bomb” that’s activated by creating a call to “Uncle Putin.”

Unfortunately, there’s no gameplay footage of Snowden Run 3D, but here’s a screenshot:

Snowden Run 3D

As that you may tell, it’s not precisely the best looking game available. There’s a explanation for that, however, because the game was made in under 30 hours as portion of the Ludum Dare Challenge. The creator states that he would really like to return and refine the sport now that he’s not under a deadline.

Oh, and before you think that there’s some form of hidden meaning behind the sport, there’s not. The creator says that his game is merely a parody, and isn’t meant to indicate fingers at anyone party.

If you’ll want to play the sport, you are able to do so in your Android device or in your PC.

As for the actual Snowden, he’s not running from anything just yet. He’s still waiting to listen to back on his asylum request from the Russian government, and must remain in Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport until then.
