As PlayStation 4s start showing up in store warehouses, it helps bring the belief a higher generation consoles are upon right into a tangible reality. In a fewbout a week, the area as we all know it’ll change forever when the PS4 becomes available for consumption; no less than, that’s the crux of the pitches we’ve been getting. As Sony and Microsoft fight for control of the lounge, we, the patrons, are perceived as winners, provided that we don’t mind dealing with a dear upgrade/changeover.
Because anticipation of those new gadgets reaches a fever pitch, unboxing videos became something. A lot so, in reality, they’re used as marketing pitches. Judging by the numbers, it’s pretty clear people enjoy watching videos of different people opening their new stuff. Which leads us to Wired.com’s exclusive PS4 unboxing video. If people actually need to observe these items, taking the next move and offering an exclusive video, complete with Wired’s logo and watermark, is a shrewd strategy to grab about a more pageviews.
It also helps when the unboxing video goes above and beyond the norm by having a Sony engineer crack the PlayStation 4 case open, giving us a glance on the console’s internal workings. Take a look at Wired’s video and spot what you watched:
Incredibly exciting, no? Sarcasm aside, if nothing else, it’s impressive seeing just how much tech Sony can cram right into a plastic case; and hey, there’s no Spider-Man font distracting us from the clinical autopsy. That should be a plus, right? In case you’ve been living under a rock and missed the inside track, the PS4 would be available on November 15.
