EA Sports’ free-to-play (with microtransactions) Ultimate Team mode is addictive, and Madden NFL 25 developer EA Tiburon is operating to will let you keep your progress within the mode in the event you move from the present-gen version to the following-gen one.
Ultimate Team players who own the present-gen version of Madden NFL 25 gets to transfer as much as 1,100 UT items over to the following-gen version (naturally only from PS3 to PS4 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One). This can be a one-time move that requires a web connection, an EA Origin account, and a PSN or Xbox Live account. You will get to transfer as much as 55 players, 45 items, and 1,000 reserve items inside the migration. Once transferred, you may use your UT cards for your current-gen system, but you won’t have the ability to trade or auction them.
Furthermore, when you own the Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition for the present generation, you can get six UT All Pro packs to be used on a single next-gen console.
Madden NFL 25 comes out on August 27 for current-gen systems and later this year for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Our Take
This is a superb technique to help out fans who can be spending money on both versions in addition to any Ultimate Team cards – especially since EA is under no obligation to try this. Hopefully it should help evangelize the mode and its growth.
